Font changes
Kpopalypse
People already struggled to take my answers seriously, but now they're going to struggle with that particular mental challenge twice as hard give that Comic Sans is the default font. Can we change it back please? Or at least be given more choice? Comic Sans is just bad design as it looks so unserious and juvenile. Thanks for considering!
(okay technically maybe it's not Comic Sans but it sure looks like close enough to Comic Sans to be offensive to good graphic design)

Agreed! Plus I don't really like this font.

Hi,
The new font is Lexend and is part of the brand refresh we announced back in September. (https://blog.retrospring.net/retrospring-branding-update)
The normal "weight" of the font appears quite thick thus the resemblance to something like Comic Sans. We've adjusted this down to a level closer to the previous font.

Karina Kwiatek: Yeah despite the weight reduction I'm still really not keen on it, it just looks so juvenile and childlike. Given that many of my questions and answers revolve around fairly serious and mature topics, having all the text appear in "amazeballs kiddy script" is really jarring. It might be appropriate for someone else's page though, but not mine, I guess I'll get used to it, but I'm not a fan, at least the option for something else would be nice. On a positive note, and so you know I'm not being negative for its own sake, the other aspects of the redesign I actually really like so far.

perhaps it is too thick... maybe they could tone down the thickness, make it less bold. i don't think the font is all bad, but there's something about it i don’t like. is this (in the feature requests) the same font? here it looks fine

beomkai: for now this feature requests page still seems to be the old original font, don't make too much of a noise about that though or they may notice it and also change this page to "baby's first font" and then there'll be no escape from the terror!
